The Gallery is divided into four sections which define the four distinct eras of Fort York's history. The first section illustrates Fort York from it's inception in 1793 to the end of the War of 1812. The second section represents the British Imperial Garrison era from 1815–1870. The third section explores the Canadian Military years from 1870–1932, while the last section covers the modern era of the fort's history since 1932.
